Sunrise shells are a species of scallop shell endemic to Hawaiʻi, meaning they exist only in Hawaiʻiand are not found anywhere else in the world. This makes them incredibly rare! Sunrise shells live on the sandy ocean floor at depths of up to 300 feet. I personally find each and every sunrise shell used in my designs while scuba diving in Hawaiʻi, typically at depths of around 100 to 120 feet. Each sunny is unique and a true gem from the ocean & me.
